Frame spine tube question

I pulled the tank, cleaned the frame spine tube, and checked it with a straightedge. It looks straight up front, but from the weld point rearward there's about a 1/16" gap under a 12" rule. Shouldn't the spine tube be completely straight?

A small gap like 1/16" over 12" may not be unusual, as frame tubes arent always perfectly straight from the factory, especially near weld points, but ideally the spine should be very close to straight. If you're concerned about alignment or handling, it might be worth having a frame shop check it to be sure its within spec.
