Lucas SR1 with impulse coupling on a norton anyone tried it

I recently discovered a Lucas SR1 magneto with an impulse coupling. This kind of magneto produces a powerful spark, even when you rotate it at a slow speed. I'm wondering if anyone has tried using one on a Norton motorcycle. If you have, I'd love to hear about your expereince and how well it performed. While it can improve starting, folks I know have noted alignment challenges and occasional hot start issues. Checking the mounting fit and ensuring the coil and condenser are in top shape might save you trouble if you're considering giving it a shot.

gosh, fitting an SR1 on a Norton can be a tight squeeze! the physical size is often the main hurdle, so be prepared for some fabrication or careful clearancing around the timing cover or primary.
you'll also need to make sure the drive coupling matches up, or source an adapter. it's worth it for reliable ignition if you can make it fit
