One of the several bike I found, was a 1975 commando which looks like it's in excellent shape apart from one thing: the back sits lower. The owner claims to have replaced the shocks, but I'm not 100% sure about that so I wanted to ask what are your thoughts?

If the back sits lower then maybe it has got short aftermarket shocks? Better ask for the brand of the shocks so you're aware of what you're getting into. Also, do check if the sagging is too much with the bike when it's on its own weight as the springs might need to be replaced.

Hmm, sounds like something's off with the rear end, if the shocks were swapped, maybe they're too soft or not the right size, did you check the shock specs or ask the owner for more details?

Hey, Instrumental, Stock shocks for the Mk3 850 should be 330mm (12.9") between bolt centres when shocks are extended. If you wanted to measure what you have and post your phone number and/or email for me, I would be glad to give you a ring to make sure what you have is correct, or you can email me offsite at [email protected] with the measurements and any markings on the shocks at all.
