a few years ago, down at that Hansen Dam meet, me and wifey ran into a nice fella and his wife.

He was scratchin' his head over some kinda electrical gremlins in his machine, though the specifics escape me now, you know how the memory goes. Good chap, seemed like.

Anyway, I told him about this motorcycle forums, told him it's a real lifesaver for us tinkerers.

Seems he had a bit of trouble signin' up, so I put him in touch with Tom, a good egg, he got him sorted. Then... well, then we didn't hear much from him.

Just the other day, his wife, bless her heart, she got in touch with me.

Turns out the poor fella, he's gone on. Sad news, that. She's got the funeral expenses weighin' on her, and she was askin' about sellin' his 1975 Norton Commando.

So, naturally, I offered to lend a hand. Gave her a bit of the lay of the land, where to sell, what the market's like for these old bikes, the best way to go about it and all.

I sold a few things online myself, you know, Facebook, BringaTrailer, Craigslist, I know the drill. Gonna do it for next to nothin', just enough to cover a bit of my time.

Figure we can get her a decent bit more than just lettin' it go as is.

She says it runs, got a new saddle, and looks alright... though it's orange.

Not my cup of tea, mind you. Give me a a nice black any day. But hey, beggars can't be choosers, eh?

Gonna pick it up this weekend, wish me luck with it, hope I can help the poor woman out. It's the right thing to do, you know?

That's a really good thing you're doing; you're definitely honoring the nice fella by doing this. This type of kindness the world needs more, you're a good man. I know that orange is not all people's cup of tea but to me it looks fire and i know that soon you'll find someone that will immediately fall in love with the Commando. Wish you luck and keep doing good deeds.
