Should we use 180cc or 150cc?

Hi Commando owners! Saw on Youtube that we should put 180cc of fork oil in each leg instead of 150cc as the manual suggest. Has anyone tried this?

Oh yeah, because random guy on YouTube always knows better than the engineers who built the bike, right?
Jokes aside, upping the fork oil to 180cc will stiffen things up a bit, quicker rebound, less dive which some riders actually like if they're riding harder or carrying extra weight but it'll also make the forks feel harsher over bumps if you're not careful. If you're happy with how the bike rides now, I'd stick with the manual. If it feels too soft, then sure, a little experiment never hurt... just be ready to regret it if your teeth start chattering on rough roads hehe

Has anyone noticed any difference in handling or ride quality after switching to 180cc of fork oil, or do you think the 150cc is optimal for most riders?

Adding more fork oil will likely make your front end stiffer and increase bottoming resistance but could also reduce travel and potentially cause harshness.

i guess just proceed with caution and consider your needs. Maybe try a smaller increase first?
